Shock of our lives: Maheeda turns out to be a dope Rapper

It was when the saliva from my lips dripped on to my phone screen that I realized how much I was drooling. 'Maheeda', a woman controversial for having posted nudes and creating rukus on twitter, turns out to be a very good rapper.

After watching the highly anticipated video 'Naija Bad girl', where reports had it she was naked on set (stark naked and receiving head), I reaffirmed the authenticity of this quote 'Never judge a book by its cover'. She did a great job combining subtle lyrics, with a sexy slur and steady flow, to her vocals. Trust me, this song was great, and I'm sure all those who watched the video were pleasantly surprised.

Wow!!! Maheeda you are one amazing rapper. Even if anyone doesn't say this, I would. I respect this part of you and look forward to seeing more of your works. More clothes and less nudes, and I think mothers will soon start recommending you as role models for their daughters. Kudos!!

The Undefeated

'Insanity is when we keep doing the same old thing, and expect a change'. Don't know who said these words, but they truly made sense. The pains, the heartbreaks, the sex and sins, the drama of last year. All these played through mind as I laid on my mattress this morning. Indeed 2013 was a bad year. The disappointments and piling responsibilities, a burden that hadn't lessened since the new year began. As such, what was the difference? Isn't this just the mad continuum of an endless cycle of life's unfairness?

Enough whining! Living is a gift, enjoyed only by the courageous, and unrelenting. 'We are victorious, not because we are strong, but because we never gave up'. These words, wise or not, its better not to live life wishing and mooning over what could have been.

We shall reach that sky, touch it, and make a home in it. We are not losers, and we have not failed yet. Every breath a defiance of the odds, and a resistance to defeat.

Until that final heartbeat, we have not lost. Soldiers! The world is still ours to conquer.

'We are Phoenix'.

Welcome to 2014.
