The crashes of thunder was deafening as the clouds gathered up in the heavens. The stage was set for a battle unlike never before. The winds tore through the forest uprooting trees and tossing them about like blades of grass. Tornadoes billowed and the atmosphere was charged. Day turned dark as night, and the enraged gods faced each other, rearing to punish with inconceivable pain. What insolence!!! The voice of Thor bellowed. You dare strike I, Thor the son of Odin? I will make you curse the day u came to your powers, you fool!
Silence!!! You foul skinned son of a bastard swineherd. You will suffer greatly for your crime. Whoever you are, you ashes shall grace the altar of our ancestors. Touching the wife of a god king without any fear. Sango roared with unearthly fury. Die stranger!!!!
Sango unleashed a wave of blue lightning at Thor. The grass and remaining trees turned to ash in its wake as it ripped the air on its mission. He was however amazed as Thor sucked in the wave with his hammer and laughed in disdain. Your magic cannot compare with the power of mighty Thor.
Summoning a heavy blast, Thor directed a force so great and terrible the river burst forth its banks but sango opened his mouth and absorbed it in like it was a ambrosia spurting from the ancient fountains. Hahahahaha! Sango laughed. That tickled like the touch of an inexperienced whore. Thor was taken aback as no one had ever withstood his lightning bolt before.
The thunder gods directed wave after wave of unearthly lightning at each other to no avail. They however laid waste to the land and everything in their path. The river had almost dried up and craters had formed every where. A once beautiful forest was now wasteland. The gods hardly noticed this. They were destroying the creations their powers was meant to protect. Such was the blindness of their fury.A high pitched scream pierced the air and both gods stood still.
Oya had disappeared at the onset of the battle seeking to escape the wrath of her master. She knew she deserved every punishment she got, for never before had a royal concubine been caught red handed in the act of infidelity. Her escape was short lived when the heat from the battle started drying up her spirit river. This formed the very essence of her existence and immortality. Its destruction would mean hers as well. She shimmered into being if front of the embattled gods and with a weak yelp, collapsed. Both gods knew they had to take this fight elsewhere. They gripped each other and launched into the air. Each controlling the elements to his advantage. Thor slammed his hammer against Sango's temple and staggered him. Sango lost his control of the raging winds and was tossed about like a rag doll in the tempest. Thor flew to press his advantage and forever silence his adversary. He was unprepared for the burst of white flames that almost melted his flesh inside his armor. Sango had recovered and only wanted to make his opponent get overconfident, a battle skill his teacher had taught him when he was learning the rudiments of becoming a soldier. His flames burnt part of the armor of Thor much to his satisfaction. Thor only treated that as a minor inconvenience as he let forth a surge of lightning at Sango. This was evaded as Sango did a flip backwards in the air and threw his axe at Thor. The axe ripped the flesh of thor's arm and returned to Sango. Thor was getting amazed by this strange opponent. A thunder god possessing powers to rival his own? Impossible! He twirled his hammer and created a tornado. He launched himself at Sango and with a thud slammed into the unsuspecting god. The sky turned blinding white as the opposing charges from their bodies met. The ensuing blast sent both gods into a vortex of power. Their weapons were ripped from their hands and they were thrown against the earth forcefully.
Sango got up and rushed at Thor but was stopped short by the kick thrust at him. Unngh!!! He grunted as Thor slammed a round house kick against his face. Thor sent a lightning fist into Sango's chin that lifted him into the air. He followed this with summoning his hammer into his open palms and smashing it into Sango as he fell. Sango protected his face as he fell, but the force was almost too much to bear. He turned away just as the hammer was descending with force on his head in a finishing blow. This force unbalanced Thor and he fell. Sango rammed an upper-cut into Thor's chin and felt the satisfactory feel of bone against flesh. This force sent Thor tumbling on his back side.
I am Sango the god of thunder!! The descendant of Ajaka and Oduduwa. Sango bellowed as he rushed at Thor.
Just as he was about to pound Thor into the ground, a blinding white flash of light exploded in his face. This sent him flying backwards into the dust.
What madness is this? Roared the voice of an Old man. Sango got up startled from the blast, he looked closely at the figure. He saw an old man with a heavy armor and an eye patch. The grey hair on his head and face reflected the ageless wisdom of an elder god. Who are you? Sango asked. Don't you dare question me you foolish child. The old man retorted. Father!! What brings you here? The voice of Thor asked as he got up from the ground, shaking the dust from his armor.
I came to stop this madness. Odin replied. I let Loki tamper with your transporter because I wanted to lead you to him. Me? Sango replied in surprise. Your son touched my woman and it was all your plan? Sango's voice was rising in anger. Your powers are useless against me u imbecile. Odin said with menace in his voice. Perhaps if you took better care of your women and not send them out when they are ripe for mating u would not have this problem. And Thor, I should take away your hammer again for your indiscretion. You should know better than to give in to your wanton desire. Both gods stood with their heads down like the scolded children they were.
Prepare yourselves the both of you. I have a mission. Huh? Sango asked. How can you tell me you have a mission when you know me not.
Haha! Odin's rasp laughter came out. I've known you and your fore-father Oduduwa, since the begining.
I'm sorry to disappoint you, but can't your lordship. My people need me, Sango said. Yes you are right, Odin said, they need you to come with me to Asgard. A great evil arises and is devouring the city. If you don't help out, your kingdom will be next.
What evil is this? Sango asked. Gargamoth!! Odin replied. No!! Thor whispered in fear. I thought he was chained in the pits of damnation. Unfortunately, Loki found a way to strike a deal and unchain him, Odin sighed. No way!!! Thor bellowed. I will rid the world of his madness when I get hold of him. He raged.
That's why you need the help of this dark god over here. Odin pointed to Sango. He is a god? Thor's eyes opened in surprise. I thought he was.... Well he is Odin said, and as powerful as you I'm sure.
He would be your lieutenant and partner. Work with him Thor, and drop all your useless pride. Work together and drop whatever grudge you bear. At this he turned to Sango with a stern look.
How do I .... Sango started. Woosh!!! Before any of them could say another word, they were transported to Asgard.
In front of an incoming ball of fire...
Gargamoth was a terrible looking dragon. Would they be able to defeat this threat to mankind?
